We regret to inform you that Sherman Willis, Book #1040296 passed away
February 26, 2003. He was born September 8,1949. Brother Willis joined the
Iron Workers International in June 1980. Sherman was the victim of a
snowmobile accident on the Stoney River near Lime Village, Alaska.
On March 5th Wednesday, to maintain your name on the out of work list, you
must sign-in between 7 & 9 am or Fax or Email on a March 4th. Fax

Wednesday March 5th. Members that do not sign in will be removed from the
out of work list and will be required to contact the local office to have
their name placed back on the list.
Next Local 86 regular meeting will be Thursday March 20th 7pm at the Labor
Temple, 2800 1st Ave, Seattle. The third and final reading of resolution
#71 to amend the bylaws will take place. Dues must be paid through February
in order to attend the meeting and to be eligible to vote.
The proposed amendment to Article II, Section 3 reads as follows:
".Sec 3 (a) all persons employed at our trade for more than sixteen (16)
hours in one calendar month in the jurisdiction of Local #86 and having
received fringe benefits shall pay working assessments. Working assessments
shall be sixty dollars ($60.00) per month beginning April 1st, 2003 and
increase to sixty-five ($65.00) per month July 1st, 2003.
" .Sec. 3 (b) The Business Manager/Financial Secretary Treasurer may
participate in the best interest of the Local Union with organizations such
as Rebound and/or Northwest Fair Contracting with approval of the Trustees
and the Local Union Body.
